Voting Question: We want to travel by sea from Canada to Puerto Rico. Not a cruise.

Not looking for a cruise. We are considering buying a summer home in Puerto Rico. For many reasons it would make sense for us to travel there and back by sea, with our van and pets. Is this a possibility and what would such a voyage cost? We're okay to leave from anywhere in Canada - probably each January to return end of April. How long does it take? There are two of us - one Canadian/Brit dual citizen, one Canadian US. Anyone's help and advice will be much appreciated. We could also leave from Florida and the van is not a deal-breaker. Thank you, Alan M. Smith It doesn't matter about the vehicle - the main thing is that we would like to receive to PR by sea but we don't want to go on a cruise. We could also leave from a Canadian east-coast port.

Voting Question: Dealership wouldn't even talk to me. Why?

Let me start off by saying that I am trying to rebuild my credit. Yes, it's low. I need a new car because the one I have is about to break down on me. I've been shopping around going to dealership after dealership and used car lot after used car lot. The car lots want too much down and the dealerships, even though they are trying haven't arrive through on a deal yet. I went and looked at the Mazda3 yesterday and I really liked the car. It was only like $15k but I though it would be a lower priced car to rebuild my credit on. I didn't want to receive something too expensive to push my budget to the limit. silly thing is that this car still had hand crank windows and didn't even arrive with remote entry or even cruise control. Features that arrive standard on other cars similarly priced. Anyway, I told the sales guy what I was working with and he literally told me that Mazda Finance is so tight right now that sometimes they require people to have credit scores in the mid to upper 700's just to put them in a car. I think he just didn't want to try when I told him my score was low. Again, at least the other dealerships when I told them what I was working with tried. They ran my info and asked if I could put a down payment or even receive a co-signer. This guy leaned back on a car and directed me to the Hyundai dealership that I have yet to find which he said was, "right down the road." Why, if you are working on commission, would you not even try to look what nice of deal you could make for me? If for nothing more, I'd send others to your dealership to say, "hey, they will try to receive you into a car." OR maybe it was my low credit score that he didn't look much of a sale if any coming from me. Personally, I don't want a car with hand crank windows and no cruise control. I have a 1994 Chrysler and it is at least every electric and has cruise as well as a remote entry. What's the deal with this 2008 Mazda3 not having some of the basic features most if not every cars do? When's the last time you saw a new model car that still had crank windows? My girl said it was becasue maybe I was black he didn't want to try. I'm not looking at race as an issue now but as a long shot there may be some validity to her statement. I was nicely dressed and spoke very well. No road slang or anything cause I don't talk like that. What do you guys think?

Resolved Question: How good is carnival cruiseline?

I am considering their deal where it is $250 for any 4 day cruise, from anyport, anytime. I've always done other cruiselines though, so I'm wondering how good they really are. Do they have good restaurants and entertainment? What's their best boat and destination? please tell me anything you can think of about them or an experience with them.

Resolved Question: How to make him say I love you?

I've been dating my boyfriend for 11 months now. We work together, and are going on a cruise to the bahamas for his birthday in september. We hang out whenever we are not working or taking personal days, we receive along great, and other than a 14 year age difference, we are much the same. He still has not said I adore you. Is it really that big of a deal when he shows he loves me and just doesn't say it? I haven't said it either but he is not the scared or shy type. Very masculine, sarcastic and extremely confident, not narcissistic. He always does the right thing, not always the nice thing but the right thing. Very high morals and would do anything for family. I definitely have my looks going for me, but he also rarely wants to have sex. He is 32 smokes and drinks every the time. He never lies, and says it has nothing to do with me. I dont receive it. Any help any one can give? I am the younger one, and I know he has no one else on the side. What do i do? He was greatly hurt before me, and completely closed himself off from everything. But I cannot handle being this close to him, but still being this distant. We do not live together which I have no problem with, but we are getting a family phone plan. Does it mean he is getting that serious? And if so why not say I adore you? Or have sex with me when I want it?

Resolved Question: Does anyone know when the P&O mini cruise 2 for 1 deal starts? Is it around Sep/Oct time?

I was wondering when the minicruise offer to Amsterdam runs from and until as it has not been released by P&O yet. I know it comes out the same time every year and that they don't release it until a month before. I just need to know now as I am planning a getaway with a group of friends on one and would like to tell everyone the dates for when it is cheaper so they can book time off work! Thanks :-) I have already tried online on the official page and you can only receive booking prices up until the end of september. I have also phoned them with no luck. Thank you anyway kimosabii :-)

Resolved Question: %100 canadian, and 'aboot' free!?

I'm canadian and I say ABOUT not ABOOT. Yet when I went on a cruise, I was the only canadian other then this boy in the teen lounge. The relax were every from america and they every seemed to think we said aboot even though we were saying about. They were always going on like " SAY ABOUT FOR US, PLEASE!? IT'S SOOOOO silly!" I have never once heard a Canadian say 'aboot' but I'm sure there's some who do. My question is, why is it such a big deal, and why do Americans find it so silly that some of us Canadians say 'aboot'. They say some things differently too and you don't hear us making it public. This isn't ment to be offensive to Americans, but I'm just wondering why some of them find it so hysterical. Oh, and I'm not directing this at every Americans..I do realize some of them understand. But to the ones who do..I mean c'mon... can't you hear a difference between "out" and "oot"?

Resolved Question: How to chose the best cruise? Do I need a passport?

My husband and I want to take a cruise before the end of summer break (I'm a teacher and I start back to school on August 4th). Neither of us have been on a cruise before. Where is the best place to book a last minute cruise? How do we receive the best deal? What should we look for in a cruise? Do we need passports to take a Carribbean cruise? Or is that only if we want to receive off the boat? I'm looking at a cruise on Travelocity and can't find info there as to whether passports are required or not. Any advice would be appreciated!

Resolved Question: Does hating Tom Cruise, when you don't even know him, show a pesonality flaw?

i don't understand why Tom Cruise gets so much abuse. I hear people make things up and RANT about him! He seems like a pretty decent member of society. Very little scandal, so what's the deal? He doesn't hurt anyone or anything, gives to charity, his kids aren't on drugs running around giving crotch shots. People say his wife is abused without ANY PROOF. I mean there are enough crazies in hollywood to fill any need for gossip so why the constant attacks on cruise? Well what could that be? Why do they hate him? Sounds like politically correct discrimination/ bullying to me. Really, it frightens me to look a mob mentality. The hatred is real, and powerful, for a man that personally hasn't done a thing to these people! "Likely, they don't like his personality or his politics or his views on life." ahhh, he is an actor, do you actually know his personality or his politics or his views on life? He has 3 kids I have an example.... His 2 year old is photographed with a bottle. I have seen message boards with thousands of comments on this. It seems odd to me that people care about the fact that his daugther is still on a bottle. THere are kids being beaten and burned and starved. Being fed a bottle seems pretty darn harmless to me.

Resolved Question: How to deal with annoying new brother in law on our annual family cruise?

I go on a cruise every year with my immediate family - mom, brother, sister, my husband of (now) 12 years, and whatever spouse my siblings bring along (it's different almost every year) Only this year, everyone (including my sister) wants to push brother-in-law overboard. He's a talker - he knows EVERYTHING or is best friends with someone who does... you know the type...sigh. Any tips on how to ignore him and have a good time? Don't remind me that it IS a big boat - my mom likes us to have every meals together and do the same shore excursions. Escaping him is not an option. And if you don't have any advice on ignoring him - how about suggestions on things to close him up?

We want to have fun and good entertainment (dancing, etc) Has anyone had any good experiences with a certain cruise boat, destination, etc that would suit us? Thanks! :)

Resolved Question: What do you think of the prospects of a sequel to Top Gun???

I heard today that there may be in the works a sequel to Top Gun. It take place in the gift, 22 years from the original, with Tom Cruise reprising his role star-making role as Mavrick. This time he's an instructor at the Navy Fighter Weapons School having to deal with a cocky, hot-shot female fighter pilot. Personally, I think the idea sucks. This is no-discredit to women in the military, but how many female fighter pilots are there in the Navy or Air Force??? And plus, it wouldn't be believable because if you know anything about fighter pilots, they are the most cockiest people in the world and a girl couldn't arrive off with the right devil-may-care attitude towards life. Top Gun is not closed...it just moved from NAS Miramar, California to NAS Fallon, Nevada. It is now official known as the United States Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor (SFTI) program. Basically, different jets doing the same stuff. The F-14 has been retired by the Navy and now the F-18 is top dog in the fleet.

Resolved Question: underage driving penalties

i need to know what will most likely happen after being caught underage driving. 2 months away from p's ( i know its stupid i don't need a lecture again, everybody goes through phases, and everybody makes their mistakes and learn from it) i need to focus on the outcome and making it as good as possible. conversation with the cops was positive, car being driven was registered below my name, no alcohol in my system. reason for driving was just cruising. i think they stopped my cause i have an s13, or because i had red p's up. i live in victoria melbourne btw. anyway it happened a couple days ago. wen i go to court, i think that's most likely, what are the possible outcomes? I have no record, and i am pretty much pleading guilty, and really just hoping i dont receive my p's suspended. i can handle fines or any other consequences, i just need to know what im dealing with, and how to deal with it appropriately to avoid getting my license suspended. any help is appreciated are you sure? i have a pal in the same position as me, except he tried to receive away from the cops. he went to bootcamp, and now his record is clear and and can receive his permit

Resolved Question: Poll : Do you think this is a good idea that I am doing tomorrow?

Currently a local Nissan dealership is doing a deal where you buy a Armada or a Titan and they give you a Versa for free The Versa is either the Hatch or the Sedan (both 4 door models with decent trunk space) and arrive with AM/FM CD, Cruise, car, PWR Windows and Doors, and Keyless Entry The Armada we are looking at is about 42,000 sticker (no dealing yet) Right now we I have two cars I am trading in which aren't paid off yet but aren't upside down one has 58k the other 98k so basically you can cancel any payment on a trade in or down payment After it's every said it done the payments will be about the same and yes the Armada gets 12 city 18 highway but the Versa gets 27 city 31 highway Currently my vehicles receive 15 city 22 hwy (Pacifica) and 15 city 20 hwy (4x4 Blazer) so do you think it will be worth it because I owe 5 more years on one and 3 on the other but they are both used and these will be two new cars one a gas saver? I won't be doing if they want to give me negative equity

Voting Question: Does anyone know of a good website, company or destination to go on a vacation preferably all inclusive?

I am looking to take a trip this winter, was going to go back on a cruise again but am looking for something different. You can't beat a cruise for the value (NCL Majesty, we paid less than $450 for a 7 day cruise last year without counting some excursions). I have done some searching for deals for every inclusives to islands and mexico but can't find anything even close, its usually 3 to 4 times higher once you factor in airfare. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Voting Question: Am I a thief? I'm not exactly sure, so please read?

I mean, I'd never take anything right out of a store, but ... every of my shampoos are from Marriott and Renaissance hotels (and some from Holland America Cruises) I have 2 pairs of nice slippers from the Marriott Most of my towels are from Marriotts and Renaissances I have over 50 jams/jellies from Marriotts and Renaissances None of these were ever paid for. I mean, the shampoos, they don't care if you take them from the room, but sometimes I take extras from the carts, because the shampoo quality is great, and I don't feel like paying for something that I can receive for free. Slippers-No big deal, only 2 pairs and those hotels would've charged me if it was against the rules, I think that they only charge you for the robes Towels-No technical rule on this, I think that it's okay jams/jellies-again, no technical rule, I think that it's okay to take a few one time on a cruise, though, i was taking teas for home, (only like 20-30) and this guy told me "NOOO, you don't take them, only take a few", and I don't look the big deal. I would've used them, and I didn't look a sign that had the limit. but, once someone said to me after I told them that I take towels that "That's where the negative stereotypes about Jewish people arrive from, from Jews like you" and I was starting to rethink this taking things from hotels.

Voting Question: I need help dealing with gay/bi guys?

Help! I'm a very good looking gay guy and this makes other guys too scared and intimidated to approach me. This is fine with me, my problem is that after two different guys(on seperate occassions) flirted with me and cruised me, I asked for their numbers and when I called them and asked them out, they rejected me saying that they're not gay. However, their body language and facial expressions when they cruised me told me otherwise which is why I got their numbers in the first place. What does this mean? This is my first time asking guys out. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong so that I don't repeat the same mistakes. any suggestions?

Voting Question: What's the big deal with boobies?

I mean in Texas (where I'm from), its not a state law that girls cover their boobs in public. There are only city ordinances against it in a few places. And its legal everywhere to breastfeed in public. So why are they still "naughty parts"? Me personally, I don't really care when people look mine. I mean, I don't cruise around naked every day, but I'm not embarrassed to tan topless when some friends and I are on the beach, or change out of my swimsuit top in the car, or anything else like that. (btw, i'm 18. I don't have saggy baggies) its like the whole country has nipple fever. idk. what do you think?

Alright here is the deal I am a 20 year old MALE and I weight about 200 pounds, I stand 6 feet 3 inches tall. What's best time of the year to go on a good deal? How much am I expecting to spend? What if it's me and my fiance? Can I receive a better deal for 2 people? It would be a nice honeymoon! :) What month would be considered the off season? it probably will be the cheapest

Resolved Question: Should i purchase this 1992 BMW 325i with only 34,885 miles for 5995

Features :ABS, Air Conditioning, Alloy Wheels, AM/FM Radio, pail Seating, Cassette Radio, Cruise Control, Driver-Side Airbag, Leather Interior, **Low Mileage**, Passenger-Side AirBag, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Seats, Power Steering, Power Windows, Rear Window Defroster, Sun Roof, Tilt Wheel I wasnt to sure if this deal was good or not, i looked up the carfax history and it says it has 14 records, i havent actually paid yet to check out the report, i was just wondering if this bmw was worth getting, I also read other peoples questions and answers about how long a bmw 325 lasts for, so far i've seen lots of answers saying it will last for 200k miles easily, but i am also afraid that since this car only has almost 35k miles, it might have more problems such as kept in a garage for long period of time or just broke down , or been in the store its whole life getting worked on. If anyone has any answers or suggestions please let me know.

Resolved Question: Suggestions for travel locations for female traveling alone...

Many of the 'deals' on travel packages are for 2 people, so as a single I would have to pay more. Same thing with cruises. Looking for interesting, safe, fun places to travel that I can go by myself and not break the bank. Michael - adore the Kerala Houseboat tours, I'm totally going to do this - but not really an "alone" activity. Much more 'couple' oriented. But I'm very grateful for this resource.

Resolved Question: Is it wrong the only thing I look for from girls is fun?

And I'm not talking only about sex, so don't receive your knickers in a bunch. But like, I don't want to deal with a girls drama, neediness, or emotional baggage, keep that BS for your girlfriends and whipped boyfriends. in high school, I always had a girlfriend, and most of my relationships were very long lasting, one even lasting two and a half years. But I'm 19 now, and I'm just done with girls emotional trash, and don't need their help dealing with mine. I have plenty of female friends who I help out, but I'm talking about girls I'm involved with sexually. This attitude has sort of turned me into a player, I have a few friends with benefits at any given time, and a 'line up' of girls who either want on my nuts, or are just confused and I don't want to invest the time. I'm not just banging these girls and walking out the door. Fun is priority #1, going to parties, being spontaneous, sex, one girl even took me with her family on a cruise. I'm sure it's just my age, but I couldn't care less about anything negative a girl wants to drop in my lap, and I'll gladly show her the door is she does it every the time. What do you think about this? And don't just be like "omg you azz!" or something equally immature That's the thing, I'm upfront and these girls know we aren't in an 'actual' relationship. i don't lie
